Friends of SCST are sites that are similar to Steel City Sports Talk in one way or another and have agreed to exchange links and/or banner images with SCST for mutual non-monetary benefit.
Clicking on one of the Steel City Sports Talks Friends' banners will not make a profit for anyone outright (though ad revenue may be gained at the friend site, no one at SCST will make a profit!).
The purpose of the SCST Friends is to:

create a "community" of like-minded sites bigger than the sites themselves
By politely and non-intrusively displaying links and banner images to these sites we are also offering quality sites that have been pre-approved by site administrators to be of high-quality, worthwhile sites, which is more to be said for than many of the other money-driven ad serving systems. So, if you see a friend site banner image that strikes you as interesting, go ahead and click through to see if there's not something there for you.
